RIM exposed growth in BlackBerry Messenger
RIM event, BBM Hackaton is going on in New York City today. Today, RIM exposed Blackberry Messenger’s usage and growth. The BBM is actualy the most use messenger for Blackberry users, and still growing. BBM itself already improved alot since the first time it launched, with added BBM groups which I’m sure you’re all love this, and now we have the BBM social Platform which brings BBM to even better usage.
Tyler Lessard, Vice President of BlackBerry Alliances & Developer Relations shared some nice stats on BBM and its growth:
- 45 Million active BBM users worldwide
- Over 5.2 million BBM groups have created
- BBM is growing by over 2 million new users monthly
- 70% of BBM users use it daily to communicate with friends
- Billions of BBM messages sent per day
- BBM is the largest mobile social network for BlackBerry users
