RIM confirms QNX on Blackberry Smartphones

RIM confirms QNX based OS on Blackberry Smartphones, although they didn’t said exactly when. QNX itsef is originally developed by a Canadan Company, QNX Software Systems, then aquired by Research in Motion (RIM). Blackberry Playbook already using this QNX base system, and all I can say it’s fantastic.

According to TechRadar, Calrro Chiarello, VP of GSM/UMTS business unit at RIM said that they already working with protoype model of the new QNX-based phones, and it will come out with high end products, but he’s not allowed to tell exactly when.

So when do you think it will come out? Having new Storm with QNX system will be good, it will turn Blackberry Storm to mini Playbook.
