Qatar’s Blackberry users get compensation for Blackberry service outage

Qatar’s Blackberry users of both Qtel and Vodafone will received compensation for Blackberry service outage with three days free credit added to their account.

Both Qtel and Vodafone decided to compensate their customers after Researh in Motion (RIM) announced that the Blackberry service is fully restored, that’s including email, Blackberry Messenger, social networking and web browsing.

For Qtel customers, it will be direct compensation with three days credit for Hala users (Prepaid), and Shahry users (postpaid) will have three days credit added to their next monthly bill. And for Vodafone, three days free Blackberry Service will be automatically added to their account by October 20, customers will receive SMS notification when it’s done.

“Although the service issues were beyond Qtel’s control, it has taken the decision to offer compensation as part of its commitment to full customer service,” A Qtel statement said.

Well, will other provider also like this? This is what I say good customer service, company like this will have strong loyal customers, beside customers is King right?
