Playbook Tablet OS v2.0 Developer Beta Update is out now
Blackberry Playbook Tablet OS v2.0 Developer Beta Update is out now. Developer can start to download and test their application on the Blackberry Playbook tablet. The Developer Beta OS v2.0 is now support Blackberry Runtime for Android Apps and also Blackberry WebWorks and Adobe Air ADK for the Playbook OS.
Since this Beta OS is only for testing, RIM remove the Blackberry App World storefront and developers can “side load” their apps for testing.
BlackBerry PlayBook OS v2.0.0.3894 contains two improvements to aid developer testing:
- BlackBerry WebWorks applications can now successfully call GPS
- Wi-Fi® profiles are now saved and no longer disappear during tablet reboots
